As you delve deeper into the mossy caverns, you will start to notice scattered papers littered across the stone floors. Following this literal paper trail, accompanied by his distinctive, low-pitched humming sound, will naturally guide you toward his temporary camp.
If you manage to miss him during your initial exploration and defeat the main boss of Greenpath, Cornifer will eventually pack up his supplies and move onward. Fortunately, his helpful wife Iselda runs a specialized map shop back in the quiet town of Dirtmouth. If he has already departed the area, you can easily purchase the missing region guide directly from her storefront for a slightly higher price.
The Direct Path to Cornifer in Greenpath
To pinpoint his exact location organically, start from the entrance of Greenpath leading directly from the Forgotten Crossroads. You will want to descend through the western shafts while keeping a close eye out for a flora-choked tunnel opening along the right side. Carefully drop through this vertical corridor until you reach an area heavily patrolled by localized toxic bugs and flying creatures.
Once you reach the bottom section of this shaft, navigate toward the exit on the right-hand side to enter his chamber. You will encounter several large stone slabs suspended safely by thick vines hanging from the ceiling. Simply slash through these vines with your Nail to safely drop the stones, creating a stable set of platforms to walk across.

After crossing the newly formed stone platforms, continue heading to the right to locate Cornifer sitting peacefully by his desk. Interacting with him allows you to purchase the official Greenpath area map for a very reasonable fee of sixty Geo. Before rushing out of his cozy chamber, it is highly recommended to inspect the surrounding walls for hidden pathways and rewards.
